What Tools & Resources Do Authors Receive Once Published on JD Supra?

A checklist of key tools and resources available to your organization's thought leaders once we start publishing their bylined work on JD Supra

  • An Analytics Dashboard — using their firm-based email address, every author can log in to see readership reports and other key metrics for just their work over any time period.

  • 'Notable Readership' Email Alerts — once published on JD Supra, authors automatically receive email alerts showing notable engagement with their thought leadership as it occurs.

  • A Daily Digest — authors also receive a daily digest of new work published on JD Supra. Initially set to include work on the same topics for which they were first published, the daily digest is entirely customizable for other topics, by any recipient at any time. Many subscribers consider this daily aggregation of smart content a key source of intelligence in their field of practice.

  • 'Monthly Analytics' Emails — as an account administrator, you can also subscribe any of your authors to receive analytics by email, showing key engagement metrics with just their work for the previous month. Authors can also easily subscribe to this and other emails when they log into their own dashboard. [Learn more about managing these emails for your authors]

  • Trending Topic Alerts — authors can also log in and subscribe to receive exclusive writing ideas from our editorial team on hot topics and trending items in 14 key practice areas, through their account management dashboard and by email.

  • An Author Profile (and Badge) — every author should be aware of their JD Supra public profile; it's a powerful collection of their insights and thought leadership over time, available in your firm's 'Authors' tab on your public profile, or whenever a reader clicks their name/byline in a post. Also available: each author can include a badge in their email signature, blog, web profile, or other online presence, driving connections to their body of work on JD Supra.

  • Social Automation — authors can also elect to sync between JD Supra and LinkedIn. Thereafter, we automatically share their latest content with their networks, maintaining consistent engagement with followers, colleagues, and connections. This connection with LinkedIn also makes it easy for you, as an admin, to see important social engagement with your firm's content in one place: your JD Supra analytics dashboard.

We also send new authors a Welcome Email describing many of these tools and features and how to use them. If you're new to JD Supra, let your authors know to expect this introductory email.

We've created a JD Supra 101 Tip Sheet specifically in support of your authors and branded to your organization. Let me know if you'd like a copy to disseminate internally! Happy to provide.
